Do you provide the domain name for my website?

No, we don’t. Your domain name is a business resource, and you should maintain ownership and control of it. If you already have a domain name, we recommend leaving it where it is, and we will take care of pointing it to our servers when your new website is ready to go live. We recommend NameCheap if you need a new domain.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes! Your new website will be hosted on our fast, secure servers. Your site will be backed up to cloud storage daily. At the end of your 18-month term, you’ll choose one of our WordPress Care Plans.

I'm already paying for hosting. Will you install my new website there instead?

Keeping your new website safe, secure, and running efficiently is extremely important to us. For this reason, we will not install your new website on any other servers. However, once your new website is live on our server, you can cancel your current hosting plan if it doesn’t have any other websites or email connected to it. Contact us if you have detailed questions regarding our dedicated servers and hosting.

Do you provide email addresses?

Yes! We can set you up with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) for your email service, with full team collaboration tools built in.

How long will it take to build my website?

Main Street websites are usually delivered within 4 weeks, and First Avenue sites are usually delivered within 6-8 weeks. However, your exact timeline will depend on our current projects in progress and production schedule when you sign up for your plan.

Can I cancel or downgrade my website plan before the end of my agreement term?

There is no option to cancel or downgrade your account early.

This is because we distribute the cost of your website design and development (in addition to the ongoing website edits, hosting, and backups) over 18 monthly payments, and most of the design and development happens at the beginning of the agreement term. However, you’re welcome to pay off the total amount of the agreement at any time, and we will honor our commitment to provide our promised services for the remainder of the agreement term.

Can I pay by check?

Because all plans are set up on monthly autopay using a debit or credit card, we cannot accept checks for your monthly payment. This is to avoid interruptions in payment and to cover the cost of development as well as any ongoing edits.

Can I (or my team) make changes to my website?

Absolutely. We build exclusively with WordPress, so you can easily and make updates if you wish.

Keep in mind that some changes are more difficult than others, and if something breaks, you may be charged an hourly fee for us to fix it.

We do include edits and updates in your plan, so you don’t have to hassle with making routine changes yourself.

How long does it take for you to make changes to my website?

Once your website is live, basic edits and content updates are typically completed within 3-5 business days. New pages and feature requests may take longer, depending on the complexity of the request. 

All update requests are submitted via our Client Portal unless otherwise arranged. You’ll get more details on how to submit tech support tickets and update requests as part of your onboarding process.

What happens at the end of the 18 months?

When your 18-month term is complete, you will own your website and all of its content. If you decide to move to another hosting provider, we’ll supply a complete backup package that you can have installed with your new host. If you decide to stay on with us, you’ll just need to sign up for a Maintenance Plan.
